May 27, 2015 · The joystick configuration I use for flying helicopters in Arma 3. I find this to be a useful and easy to use setup.

I was testing this in the Helicopter Showcase, using L-SHIFT to pull in collective, and L-CTRL for down collective, until in a nice hover 3-5 feet over the pavement. I normally use the throttle half of my Thrustmaster HOTAS for collective inputs. I don't even use the stick half in Arma, preferring the mouse and keyboard for attitude inputs.So if I turn free lock on I can't control the helicopter. So the freelock bs is not working for mouse using helicopter flyers. They should have made it an option to change or lock the camera not just do it as a default. So stupid.
