Foraging yields no food during winter, and is harder for 2 months after winter, but if you have enough skill this should not bother you. Fishing is significantly harder, and spearfishing even more so. Just grow cabbages all winter long. Eat way more than you think you need to keep your weight up. If you've got fishing, foraging or trapping to quite a good level before winter then getting more creative may be of use, but failing that just plant lots and lots of cabbages, keep them watered from the large number of rain collector barrels you have, and you're set. Long johns, shirt, lumberjack shirt, leather jacket, something like that. For pants firefighter pants work well and I find are quite common. Ranger pants are also quite common and do well.
