I have a JD 1780 16\31 planter that has a wiring issue seedstar with a brown box monitor. the planter has an erratic occurance that at different times i will lose control of frame control the monitor will tell me planter control box has failed and sometimes plant control box is missing. the problem arises when planting and occosianally even when trying to fold or unfold the planter. Check the 5R solenoid for magnetism, no magnetism will indicate a break in the wire, or a fold control box issue. The wire that should be powered for the fold position is green and comes off pin B at the fold control box.
